What is Fantasy CAF Competitions?

Fantasy CAF Competitions is a free online fantasy football game where you create and manage your dream team using real players from African football competitions including the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, Africa Cup of Nations, and five major domestic leagues (Egypt, Tunisia, South Africa, Morocco, and Algeria).

How do I get started?

It's easy! Just follow these steps:

1. Click "Register" and create a free account
2. Select your competition (Champions League, Confederation Cup, AFCON, or Local Leagues)
3. Pick your squad of 15 players within your budget
4. Choose your captain and formation
5. Join or create leagues to compete with friends

Is it really free?

Yes! Fantasy CAF Competitions is 100% free to play. There are no entry fees, no hidden charges, and no pay-to-win features. We support the platform through responsible advertising to keep it free for everyone.

Do I need to download anything?

No downloads required! Fantasy CAF Competitions works directly in your web browser. However, you can install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your phone or computer for a better experience.

How many players can I have in my squad?

Your squad must consist of exactly 15 players: 2 Goalkeepers, 5 Defenders, 5 Midfielders, and 3 Forwards. You must select 11 players for your starting lineup and 4 substitutes.

What is the budget limit?

You start with a budget of 100 million (virtual currency). Each player has a price based on their performance and popularity. You must build your entire 15-player squad within this budget.

How many transfers can I make?

You get 2 free transfers per gameweek. If you don't use them, you can accumulate up to 5 free transfers. Additional transfers cost 4 points each.

What is a Wildcard?

A Wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers for one gameweek. You get 2 Wildcards per season - use them wisely when you need to make major changes to your team.

Can I have players from the same team?

Yes, but you can select a maximum of 3 players from the same club team. This encourages diversity in your squad selection.

How do players earn points?

Players earn points based on their real-life performance:

• Playing: 1 point for appearing
• Goals: Forwards (4 pts), Midfielders (5 pts), Defenders (6 pts), Goalkeepers (6 pts)
• Assists: 3 points
• Clean Sheets: Goalkeepers & Defenders (4 pts), Midfielders (1 pt)
• Yellow Cards: -1 point
• Red Cards: -3 points
• Own Goals: -2 points
• Penalty Miss: -2 points
• Saves (GK): 1 point per 3 saves

What is a Captain?

Your captain earns double points! Choose wisely based on fixtures and form. You must select one captain from your starting 11 players.

What is Triple Captain?

Triple Captain is a special chip that makes your captain earn TRIPLE points instead of double. You can use it once per season, so save it for a gameweek where your captain has a great fixture!

When are points updated?

Points are updated in real-time during matches using live data feeds. Final points are confirmed after each match ends, including any bonus points or adjustments.

What competitions can I play?

You can create teams for multiple competitions:

• CAF Champions League: Africa's premier club competition
• CAF Confederation Cup: Africa's secondary club competition
• Africa Cup of Nations: International tournament featuring national teams
• Local Leagues: Egypt Premier League, Tunisia Ligue 1, South Africa PSL, Morocco Botola, Algeria Ligue 1

Can I have teams in multiple competitions?

Yes! You can create and manage separate teams for each competition. Switch between them using the competition selector in the dashboard.

What are gameweeks?

A gameweek is a round of fixtures in a competition. Your team earns points from all matches played during that gameweek. Each competition has its own gameweek schedule.

What are leagues?

Leagues let you compete with friends and other managers. There are two types:

• Private Leagues: Create your own and invite friends with a unique code
• Global Rankings: Compete against all Fantasy CAF managers worldwide

How do I join a private league?

Ask your friend for their league code, then go to the Leagues page and click "Join League". Enter the code and you're in!

How many leagues can I join?

You can join up to 20 private leagues per team. There's no limit to competition!

How do I reset my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your email address, and we'll send you a reset link.

Can I change my team name?

Currently, team names are permanent once created. Choose carefully! We may add a name change feature in the future.

Is my data safe?

Yes! We take your privacy seriously. All passwords are encrypted, and we never share your personal information. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

What browsers are supported?

Fantasy CAF Competitions works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.

Can I use it on mobile?

Absolutely! The site is fully responsive and works great on phones and tablets. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for an app-like experience.

What happens if a match is postponed?

If a match is postponed before the gameweek deadline, the fixture will be moved to a future gameweek. If postponed after the deadline, points from that match won't count for that gameweek.

What if a player doesn't play?

If a player in your starting 11 doesn't play, they'll be automatically substituted (if you have a valid substitute in the same position). Otherwise, they score 0 points.

Can I cancel a transfer after confirming?

No, all transfers are final once confirmed. Make sure you're happy with your changes before clicking "Confirm Transfer".
